7 fused glass panel

I love the delicate tracery in the pink where gold leaf was fused into the glass



8 Etched tree panel

This panel was made as an experiment for a larger commissioned window and it was the first time I have tried etching on both sides of the glass. Once again the resulting overlapping of forms brings a \"surprise\" to the picture and the result is 1 + 1=3

9 Etched fish panel

This is a little homage to Hokusai with his wave turned into a wave of fish, once again this is etched on both sides of the glass. Increasingly I have been asked to supply windows treated in this way to be decorative, provide a degree of privacy and also enhance an otherwise dull view.

4 Etched bird window

This a section of the bird window this is also double etched and is quite a dramatic window. These windows were photographed against the light so that the etched parts hold and refract the light and the exposure forces the clearglass to be dark, giving high contrast. Making these windows you realise how black glass appears when you look at a window from outside.

10 Etched trees 2 detail

Recently I have produced designs for the application of etched vinyl transfers. This means that large existing windows can be given the same effect as the etched glass designs. This works well and has the advantages of being less costly and are guaranteed for ten years but could last considerably longer. It also means of course that they can be removed if necessary.
