I have been making little trees for a long time now, just now and again when the mood takes me. They are rarely disappointing like little talisman. Like so much you discover with glass flattening the tree tops produces exciting results.

8 Pink and green bottle

I can never remember the little rhyme is it red and green or pink and green, should never be seen. I love this combination which I first saw in a faberge brooch on the antiques roadshow. There is something very gauche and kitsch about it, it reeks of indulgence.

9 Loving couple

An elderly gentleman came in one day looking for a diamond wedding anniversary for his wife but he wanted something different. I suggested a tree as a reminder of the growth of their love, my wife suggested a loving couple. Shyly he agreed to the loving couple. One day his wife came in and told us how delighted she was with the gift, which was so out of character for her husband.
