2 figure in pink and silver

Making holes in glass is not an easy matter when the glass is hot as it can stretch and stretch, the first time I saw it done in America I was so impressed I couldn't wait to come home and try it. After a while you realise there are all kinds of holes and even on a small scale they can seem like a very definitive pathway between the spaces either side of the figure.

3 Torso

There can be no such thing as plain glass when it is used in a sculpture like this, the delightful form bends and refracts light in such a complex and beautiful way that colour is almost superfluous.

4 Torso

This torso has a tiny amount of rose colouring which is concentrated by the lenselike quality of the form so that the figure changes from every viewpoint and in different light conditions.

5 pink figure with turban

This is a simplified moorish form with a turban the colour is overlayed with silver leaf which had the effect of turning the pink to amber.

A larger statuesque torso in pink and silver amber.Suffused with a pink glow where the silver crosses the pink it turns to amber.
