Winter Berry

1 Winterberry

In Winter when the snow covers the ground the only colour seems to come from the sharp red berries which wind around the strings of old mans beard and the pale green leaves of the creeper.

2 Winterberry

I never know the name of this creeper but the translucent berries which seem thinner skinned than the holly berries shine with vitality. When we make this series we first of all prepare the shards of Sargasso glass by blowing bubbles and the breaking them into small pieces which give the sharp leaf shapes. The red is flame red and is my favorite red.
